“ Gaskins BBQ has great food! The lobster roll was delicious, and the baked beans were tasty with decent portion sizes. The service was okay, not bad, but not very attentive either. The best part was when the server offered us ice cream at the end, which turned out to be complimentary. That was a nice touch! It’s more of a counter-service setup, so I was surprised to be prompted for a tip since there’s no real table service. You order at the counter, get your own drinks, and they bring the food out. Still, the atmosphere was pleasant, and I plan to go back to try the brisket grilled cheese sandwich. ”

“ 3/3/25 It was ok. I ordered the ghetto lobster roll, fries, coleslaw, and Mac and cheese for $35. The lobster roll did not taste like garlic butter. Fries were not hand cut. But frozen and coated with some coating to make them crispy. The mac and cheese had no flavor. The best thing was the coleslaw. I didn't see ice cream on the menu, nor was I offered any. ”

“ I had the lobster roll and my husband and sons had bbq with Texas toast, potato salad and Mac n cheese. The entrees were delicious, the sides were okay with the potato salad being the tastiest. Staff was friendly and the ice cream was a nice motivator for the kids to finish their food quickly. Especially loved the lobster roll. Surprisingly it was better than a higher end restaurant that we tried while visiting Boston. Got big size chunks of fresh lobster meat including a good size claw. Will definitely be back for another roll. ”

“ Seriously, this place is awesome. My wife loves BBQ and I love seafood. It’s like this restaurant was made for us. I had their clams and fish and she had the pulled pork and brisket. 10/10 would recommend! More people should know about this place. Also, I don’t think I have ever been treated this nicely at a restaurant. The lady who took our order was super nice. ”

“ I want to start this off with the bad so I can end with the good. One of the doors was locked. Turns out, the other door was unlocked. This might seem an odd thing to point out, but if I thought the restaurant was closed, then others probably thought so too. We almost left, thinking the place was closed. You order first at the counter and you have to get your plastic utensils at one of the self-service stations where you get your drinks. I find this odd because when you look at the restaurant, you think it's a finer dining establishment and not self-serve. Also, there are no trash cans. If you have trash, you leave it on your table and one of the employees comes and picks it up. That is my list of the "bad" things. Now the good... Food was good. We had the fish and chips and a meat sampler. It was brought out to us SUPER quick. We didn't have to wait for more than 5 minutes. The staff was friendly, came by periodically to check on things, and even tried to suggestive sell some ice cream, which if I was the business owner then I would be very happy to hear that employees (possibly the manager...not sure, didn't ask) are doing that. They were also cleaning constantly. The place looked spotless. I don't know what the bathrooms looked like, but if they were anything like the rest of the restaurant then it was probably clean too. Overall, I would go there again. ”
